First thanks for the read. Secondly, in reading your reaction to this article, it sounds like your feeling were hurt for whatever reason. I also assume from reading your reaction that you yourself are not a Black person. I am. These reactions are the types of reactions my people have endured for time immemorial when we have brought up problems we are having with popular culture.

Maybe, instead of getting offended and all in your own feelings, perhaps take the time to be considerate. Realize that you do not have the same perspective as I do, you have not had the same experience as I have, and you don’t know what it’s like to be a young Black Woman in 2018. While we are allowed to disagree, even invited to do so, Maybe instead of reacting out of your offense, you could that the time to thoughtfully respond, respecting the experience of others while acknowledging that is not you own.
