How to care for yourself in the last few weeks of the summer

Summer is winding down and, if you haven’t yet, this is your wake up call that its time to really get out and enjoy yourself. Between all of the bbq’s, outside parties, beach time, and pool soirees, if you’re anything like me, you’re going to need some good self-care in between all of the fun-fun summer brings.

Here are a few self-care tips and tricks to make your summer that much cooler.

Drink. Your. Water:
Hydration comes from within. And no fancy serum can make you look good if your insides are dryer than a stale Popeye’s biscuit in the summer with no honey. Nuff said.

Eat hydrating foods:
Summer is when I amp up my produce intake (and become a borderline vegetarian.) I munch on watermelons, cantaloupe, peaches, and pineapples like its nobody’s business. But also, the veggies get a massive boost. Again, hydrating from the inside out. Especially when you know you’re going to be attending events that aren’t going to have the healthiest selection of food (like most BBQs and parties). An ounce of prevention… It’s worth it sis.

Sleep:
You already know better, do better.
