White Woman Calls the Police on a Black Man who asked her to follow Park Rules
This is a story all about how, White People weaponize police and wow, just take a minute and listen to me, I’ll tell you how it all points to White Supremacy.
Amy Cooper, a White woman, called the police after Christian Cooper, no relation, a Black man after he asked her to put her dog on a leash in New York City.
“Ma’am, dogs in the Ramble have to be on the leash at all times. The sign is right there,” Christian says he told Amy, but she refused to leash her dog.
Christian, an avid bird watcher, started to record Amy after she allowed her dog to run leash-less through an area known as “the Ramble”, A Central Park location where numerous wildlife can be seen. Signs are posted throughout the area, including one a short distance from Christian and Amy.
“That’s important to us birders because we know that dogs won’t be off leash at all and we can go there to see the ground-dwelling birds,” Christian told CNN. “People spend a lot of money and time planting in those areas as well. Nothing grows in a dog run for a reason.”
